Boat Maintenance and Logistics Coordinator

The Genazzano Rowing program is one of the most prominent schoolgirls’ rowing programs in the country. It has nearly 40 years of proud history and is complemented by the College’s whole sport program, including recently refurbished Physical Performance Centre, and a supportive parent community.We are seeking applications from highly skilled, reliable and motivated individuals to support the Rowing Program as Logistics Coordinator and Rowing Coach for the 2022-2023 season.The College boasts an impressive fleet of Sykes boats including 3 eights, 12 four/quads, 5 pair/doubles and a range of singles.  The successful candidate will be responsible for student transport in College vehicles to our training location in Footscray and for the management and routine maintenance of the rowing fleet. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Relevant academic qualifications
  • Experience loading and towing rowing trailers
  • Basic knowledge of boat maintenance and rigging
  • Experience in rowing fleet management, servicing and repairs
  • NCAS L1 (required) or higher (preferred)
  • Working With Children Check and Criminal Record Check
  • Victorian Drivers License
  • Bus License - Medium Rigid Heavy Vehicle License
  • Marine License
  • First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Qualification
  • Confident communication skills

 DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience in rowing coaching in a school or club environment
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a safe training environment
